1 out of 52 project 2018
One photograph taken and processed each week. A simple idea intended to try and motivate me into taking more photographs. However, in execution the challenge is not as simple as it may first seem. The first problem is maintaining a standard; quickly one realises that one shoot per week is often not enough. Then comes the decision on which image to use - at times pickings may be too thin (especially before you realise that putting all your hopes on a single shoot is a poor strategy), at others the choice available can seem overwhelming.
All photographers can experience lulls in their motivation. Personally I had been struggling for a little while following an illness in 2016. I've thoroughly enjoyed the project, albeit I can't say I'm 100% happy with the standard of all the images in the set so far, but I'm certainly more engaged in my photography than I have been for more years than I can remember.
